Gridstone Inc. is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) that began in 2002 and is focused on creating programs that foster a better community and advanced learning. The Advance Learning project connects students facing systemic inequities and other barriers with people, places and experiences that level the playing field and inspire academic achievement, positive life choices, and big dreams. We fulfill this youth-empowering, equity-advancing mission in partnership with schools, families, and the community. We provide one-on-one academic tutoring, individualized mentoring, arts and enrichment programs, and community-based learning experiences during the academic year and summer. These connections and opportunities motivate our students success.

Summer of 2023 was a success!!! BlkOut supports and participated in the program to help better prepare children grades K-12 for the upcoming school year. The program was hosted by Gridstone Inc. and designed by Chief Operating Officer Gearld L. Gridiron, Phd. candidate in Management Information Systems. Several volunteers from the Martin Luther King Community center under the direction of Supervisor Keith Powell. Many volunteers from the Bakersfield and Porterville branches of J.P. Morgan Chase bank offered an exceptional quality of volunteer service.
